Lab Technician

The responsibilities of the Lab. Technician include the following:

· Responsible for receiving, checking the particulars of specimen, requisition and processing.

· Conducting the investigations as per requisition.

· Operating the instruments and carrying out the tests as per procedure.

· To ensure that all the reports are ready at specified time using specified protocols of quality assurance.

· Entering the results in LIS (laboratory information system) and put up for verification by the HODs.

· Supervise the dispatch of the reports.

· To sign and dispatch the reports in emergency cases and put up the same to HODs on the next day.

· To dispose waste generated in laboratory as per instructions.

· Maintain individual accountability for the equipment and items in the laboratory.

· Any other job assigned as per exigencies of work.

If they are posted to the Phlebotomy department the responsibilities are as under:

· Phlebotomist collects samples from sample collection room

• To follow procedure as given in phlebotomy manual.
• To check the particulars of the patient (Bill No., Patient details and request form) before collecting the sample.
• To maintain phlebotomy register
• To maintain the stock and indent for sample collection
• To dispatch the samples to the laboratory through the lab attendants
• Follow the Departmental Protocols / Procedures
• Any other job assigned as per exigencies of work.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
