The Radiology Incharge is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the radiology department, ensuring high-quality imaging services, patient safety, regulatory compliance, and efficient staff management.
Key Responsibilities1. Department Management
- Supervise day-to-day operations of radiology services (X-ray, CT, MRI, Ultrasound, etc.)
- Ensure smooth workflow and minimal patient waiting time
- Maintain proper scheduling and utilization of imaging equipment
2. Staff Supervision
- Manage radiologists, technicians, and support staff
- Prepare duty rosters and ensure adequate staffing
- Conduct training and performance evaluations
3. Quality Assurance
- Ensure high-quality imaging and accurate reporting
- Implement and monitor quality control protocols
- Maintain compliance with standards (e.g., NABH, AERB in India)
4. Equipment & Maintenance
- Oversee maintenance and calibration of radiology equipment
- Coordinate with vendors for servicing and repairs
- Ensure optimal functioning and minimal downtime
5. Patient Care & Safety
- Ensure radiation safety protocols are followed
- Handle patient complaints and ensure patient satisfaction
- Maintain proper patient identification and documentation
6. Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure adherence to government regulations (like Atomic Energy Regulatory Board (AERB) guidelines)
- Maintain records, licenses, and documentation required for audits
7. Budget & Inventory Management
- Monitor departmental budget and expenses
- Manage inventory of films, contrast media, and consumables
- Optimize cost without compromising quality
8. Coordination
- Work closely with doctors and other departments
- Ensure timely delivery of reports
- Participate in hospital management meetings
Qualifications
- MBBS with MD/DNB in Radiology or BSc/MSc Radiology with relevant experience
- Additional certifications in hospital administration (preferred)
Experience
- 5–10 years in radiology department
- Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
